Anza-Borrego Wedding: Font’s Point

Font’s Point Wedding Portraits

When E and G decided to have their styled elopement in Anza-Borrego State Park, they knew they were in for an adventure, but nothing could prepare them for the absolute beauty and fun of their experience at Font’s Point. This is part two of their journey, and let me tell you, it’s just as exciting as the first. For those considering an Anza-Borrego wedding, or just dreaming of eloping in a unique desert location, let their story guide you through one of the most memorable days in this stunning park.

Double the Wardrobe, Double the Fun

One of the coolest things about E and G’s relationship is their shared wardrobe. Being in an LGBTQ+ relationship means they’ve got access to double the clothing options, which came in handy for their elopement. They decided to switch dresses for this part of their adventure, adding a playful and personal touch to their day. It’s little things like this that make an elopement deeply personal and unique.

Off-Roading to Font’s Point

The journey to Font’s Point was an adventure in itself. The road is sandy and not exactly friendly to just any vehicle, so off-roading was a must. Gaby took the wheel of the truck, and off we went, bumping along the sandy path, anticipation building with every mile.

If you’re planning an Anza-Borrego wedding, be prepared for a bit of a rough ride to some of the most beautiful spots. But trust me, it’s all part of the fun.

Arriving at Font’s Point Just in Time for Sunset

We arrived at Font’s Point just before sunset, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. The overlook offers a breathtaking view of the Borrego badlands that bears a striking resemblance to a mini Death Valley. The overcast setting sun added a magical touch to the view.

An Overcast Anza-Borrego Wedding

After soaking in the view, we explored the area, taking photos with the canyon overlook in the background. E and G were game for anything, climbing and exploring, their laughter all around. It’s moments like these that really capture the spirit of an elopement – fun, spontaneous, and a little bit adventurous.

Blue Hour with Lanterns

As quickly as the sun set, darkness enveloped us. Out came the lanterns, casting a soft, warm light that guided us to a higher overlook of the canyon. The scene that unfolded was breathtaking. With the mountains behind them and the canyon below, E and G stood holding their lanterns, gazing into each other’s eyes. It was a beautiful, jaw-dropping moment, one that I was lucky to capture through my lens.

A Walk Back to Remember

Walking back to the truck, lanterns in hand, E and G held hands, a symbol of their journey together. It was a beautiful end to a day full of adventure, exploration, and love. Their Anza-Borrego wedding was more than just an elopement; it was an experience that celebrated their love in a way that was true to them.
